Alright, so you know how some people are really into their hobbies? Like, your buddy Dave who won't shut up about craft beer, or your cousin who collects vintage lunchboxes with an intensity that borders on unsettling? Meet Mitsugu Bamba. She's a high school student whose entire personality revolves around donating blood. Not receiving it — donating it. She's so obsessed with giving away her own plasma that she marches into blood banks like she's checking into a five-star resort. The nurses there know her by name and they are NOT thrilled to see her. She's basically that one customer who shows up at a restaurant five minutes before closing — technically allowed, universally unwelcome.

Then one fateful afternoon, she stumbles upon a stunning girl at the blood bank who looks like she just stepped out of an international fashion magazine — if that fashion magazine was called "Pale Monthly" and the featured look was "recently exsanguinated." This mysterious stranger is so ghostly white she makes printer paper look tan. But instead of fainting gracefully like any reasonable person on the brink of collapse, she goes absolutely berserk and starts demolishing the blood bank like a tiny, gorgeous wrecking ball. Then she passes out cold, because apparently even supernatural beings have their limits.

So Mitsugu, being the completely unhinged blood enthusiast she is, takes this unconscious stranger home. Because that's what you do when you meet a suspiciously pale foreigner who just trashed a medical facility, right? You bring her to your house. This is fine. Everything is fine. What follows is a completely bananas animated comedy that somehow manages to be simultaneously absurd, endearing, and mildly concerning from a public health perspective. It's the kind of show that makes you laugh out loud while simultaneously asking yourself, "Should I be concerned that I'm laughing at this?" The answer is yes, and you should absolutely keep watching anyway.
